  • Vision and exploration

Alexandra Loembé is influenced by both African and Western contemporary and urban dance, multisensitivity and curiosity. Her creations are deeply rooted in connectivity with nature and the world around us, while simultaneously allowing people to re-experience their inner world. Characteristic of her work is her tactile, associative, intuitive, and playful approach. From the depths and darkness of personal themes, she illuminates collective life experiences. Her performances embrace vulnerability and unpredictability, interacting with the present moment and inviting the audience to reflect on the present, past, and future.

As a multidisciplinary artist, her interests lie in identity, symbolism, anthropology, botany, ecology and physical geography, exploring the interconnectedness of it all through painting, writing and textile art.
